Help for connecting to and managing your own Pi-hole v6 server.

Before contacting support

  1. Open the app’s offline Help & User Guide and search the error message.
  2. Run Connection Diagnostics.
  3. Preview the redacted report and remove anything you do not want to share.
  4. Never send a password, application password, session ID, VPN key, or certificate private key.

DBDB DNS Control does not operate a Pi-hole server, DBDB account system, VPN, or cloud relay. The app is not affiliated with or endorsed by Pi-hole.

Common checks

Confirm that the server runs Pi-hole v6, the address and protocol are correct, Local Network access is enabled when required, and the credential has the permissions needed for the requested action. Prefer a dedicated Pi-hole application password.

Use HTTPS with a certificate trusted by the device when available. HTTP is unencrypted and should be limited to an intentionally configured local or private network.
